Tri Kappa is an invitation-only, philanthropic sorority based only in Indiana. The Bloomington Chapter is the first chapter in established - the Alpha Chapter. And with that, our sisters take great pride in this distinction.

What makes Tri Kappa different from other volunteer organizations in our community? In many aspects, we are very similar. We raise money for charitable organizations in our community. We award scholarships. We sell products (cheeseballs and flowers) and host fundraising events (Blingo!).

What differentiates us is our bond of sisterhood.

It is not often that you find a 75+ adult women who can not only come together to do charitable work, but also to have fun and truly enjoy each other’s friendship. In addition to our business meetings, we have book clubs, lunch bunches, movie goers, bingo players, and much much more. We share in our successes; we support each other when in need; and we celebrate our lives. We have traditions, ritual, and structure. Lifelong friendships have developed and grown because of Tri Kappa.

For me, personally, Tri Kappa has made me a more patient and understanding woman. I swore off leadership opportunities because I never wanted “to be in charge of” a group of women. Becoming an officer changed my views dramatically, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work with our officers, chapter chairs, and state leadership.

We have an amazing group of women - Real Women - who are working women, stay-at-home moms, Millennials, Baby Boomers, Gen-Xers, retirees. We our bound together with a common purpose to be sisterly and philanthropic. I invite you learn more about our organization and meet some of our members through our website and activities.
