Stephanie Oyler

Members of the Bloomington Alpha chapter have their very own Stephanie Oyler serving at the state level as Council Secretary!

A member since 2002, Stephanie has served the Alpha chapter as corresponding secretary, vice president and president. During her two-year presidential term, she suffered from breast cancer, missing only three meetings during her radiation treatment.

The Boonville native has a special interest in Tri Kappa’s roots.

“I love the history of Tri Kappa and being a part of that history,” Stephanie says. “It’s impressive that eight young women founded a philanthropic organization that continues to serve hundreds of Indiana communities almost 125 years later. I like to say that Tri Kappa is ALWAYS in style.”

The Indiana State University graduate was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority in college, so she knew what to expect when her friend, Karin Reece invited Stephanie to join Tri Kappa.

“My motivation for joining Tri Kappa was that I like serving the community, and I wanted to meet people,” said Stephanie.

Her favorite fundraiser is the annual Flower Sale and her favorite committee is Hospitality.

Stephanie and her husband, Mark, have three children, Sam, Meg and Jed. She enjoys working part-time for Consider It Done Transition Services and Lola & Company.

She also serves on the Hoosier Hills Chrysalis Board, which oversees spiritual retreats for young women. And, has recently become a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

As for her future in Tri Kappa, Stephanie would like to continue to serve at the state level.
